Daniel Marks

Daniel Marks is currently in his 5th year of study in the Architectural Engineering Program at The Pennsylvania State University. He will receive both a Bachelor and Master of Architectural Engineering degree upon graduation, May, 2018. The focus of his studies is Construction and he will also be receiving a minor in Architecture Studies. Daniel is a member of a number of professional and student organizations including the Penn State Chapter of the Student Society of Architectural Engineers, United States Green Building Council and the Student Partnership for Achieving Construction Excellence.

In previous summers Daniel has had an Apprenticeship as well as an Internship in the construction industry. These experiences provided him with many opportunities which allowed him to develop his own skills. During this time he also received a variety of certifications which will help him advance his career, they are as follows; First Aid, CPR, AED, OSHA 30 and LEED Green Associate.

Daniel also attended the Architectural Engineering Study Abroad Program in Rome, Italy. The Pantheon Institute allowed him to further develop his knowledge about the industry and relate it to cultural as well as time period differences. At this Institute he studied construction methods for ancient and medieval architecture. He also evaluated medieval structural theories and ancient urban design.
